Summary:
Megha specialises in the assessment and treatment of traumatic and chronic hand and wrist conditions, working with patients of all ages. She provides high quality care and rehabilitation through the use of evidence-based practice, standardised assessment tools and patient-rated outcome measures to identify goals and create individualised treatment plans.
Megha has experience of treating: open and closed hand fractures/dislocations and soft tissue injuries, tendon/nerve and ligament repairs, elective nerve and soft tissue releases, skin grafts and flaps, tendinopathies, nerve compressions, work-related upper limb conditions, elective and conservative osteo-arthritis and rheumatoid conditions.
Other Experience:
Megha worked as an Occupational Therapist within in-patient and community settings until specialising in hand therapy in 2016. She spent 5 years in a busy hand therapy department at Guy’s and St Thomas and has also worked at the Whittington hospital and Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.
Education:
Qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2010.
Member of the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT).
Has completed BAHT level 1 and level 2 courses.
Interests/Other:
Badminton, drawing and painting, reading and travel.
