Lying Shoulder Rotator Cuff Strengthening Exercise Exercise Video

An simple, low level, exercise to improve strength in the rotator cuff muscles around the shoulder. Excellent in rehabilitation both post-surgery and post shoulder injury. It is important to not push into pain and to only use a weight you are comfortable with or as advised by your physiotherapist.

To perform this exercise, lie on your back, with knees bent and elbows supported on pillow in line with the shoulder. Pick a weight that you are comfortable with, or as recommended by your physio and with control rotate the hand forwards and backwards. At no point during the exercise should the shoulder lift away from the pillow.
