Thera band Shoulder Rotator Cuff Strengthening Exercise Exercise Video

An exercise to improve the strength and stability around the shoulder. This is very good for building strength in the rotator cuff muscles. Care must be taken to not sag in the shoulders, not letting them drop forward but to keep a good open position in the chest and focus just on the movement of the shoulder rotating.

Firstly, set the position of your shoulder blades and bend your elbows to 90 degrees. Now rotate the hand to the side, keeping the elbow in line with the body at all time. The physiotherapist will be able to vary the amount of resistance by choosing different coloured resistance bands to suit your needs.
