A side lying exercise to improve strength in the rotator cuff muscles around the shoulder. Excellent in rehabilitation both post-surgery and post shoulder injury.

To perform this exercise, pick a weight that you are comfortable with, or as recommended by your physio. Set your shoulder blade and keep the elbow in line with your body. Rotate the hand up towards the ceiling and lower slowly with control. Don’t allow the shoulder to roll forwards or backwards while performing the exercise.
