Seated Roll Down Exercise Exercise Video

An exercise to help improve mobility of the lower back. This may help to relieve muscle tension and lower back pain. Care should be taken to move each vertebrae one at a time, opening up the joints as you slowly lean forwards.

Video Transcription

In order to perform the roll down, firstly drop your chin to your chest and let your back relax into a rounded position. Move your hands down the front of your shins, but only as far as is comfortable. As you begin to return to upright, initiate the movement from your lower back, straightening first from your lower, then middle, then upper back and finally lifting your head. Continue to repeat the movement.
