Summary:
Sumaira is an experienced hand therapist. She has worked in both the NHS and private healthcare settings. She has worked with clients of all ages and especially enjoys working with children. She believes education and collaboration are an important aspect of the success of therapy. She works closely with her patients with individualised functional goals to enable them to achieve good clinical outcomes and return to things they enjoy doing.
Specialisation:
Sumaira specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of hand and wrist conditions, both traumatic and chronic conditions. She has experience with digit and wrist soft tissue injuries & surgeries; fractures and ORIF to hands and wrist; Joint dislocations and surgeries; Tendon and ligament repairs, Tendinopathies; Fasciectomies; CRPS ( Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome), Infections; Rheumatological and chronic hand conditions.
She has a particular interest in Hand and Wrist fractures and Dupuytren fasciectomies.
Other Experience:
She has worked in the NHS for 10 years before moving to the private healthcare in 2017 where she has worked across a range of Hand Therapy Services in different private hospitals. She is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT).

Sumaira is a keen indoor cycling enthusiast! Who also enjoys comedy, musical theatre and travelling.
