Megan Sumner: Advanced Physiotherapist

Originally from New Zealand, Megan is an experienced and empathetic Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 20 years in clinical practice. She takes a holistic approach with her patients and believes that good communication is key. By listening effectively and sharing her knowledge, she aims to educate and empower her patients while working with them to achieve their goals. Megan uses a combination of manual therapy, biomechanics analysis, taping techniques and exercise prescription, as well as Clinical Pilates and Acupuncture where appropriate.
Specialisation
Megan enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. She has worked in Occupational Health where she gained experience in ergonomics and work related injuries, and she carries out Work Station Assessments.
Megan practices Western Acupuncture and has been a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists since 2002. She is an APPI trained Pilates Instructor, teaching weekly classes as well as using tailored Pilates exercises with her patients.

Megan enjoys travel, particularly to mountains or coastlines, as well as yoga, Pilates, skiing, swimming, and gardening.
