Ask a Physio

Lucie Bond, Central Health Physiotherapy, giving an Ask a Physio sessionCentral Health Physiotherapy offers “Ask a Physio” sessions to companies local to our clinics.  These give you and your colleagues an opportunity to ask a physiotherapist about a niggling ache or pain you might have.

Sometimes, it’s difficult to know whether to seek professional advice or whether a complaint will recover on its own.  This gives a perfect opportunity to ask exactly that.

We run them in three ways:

  1. Katriona Ryan, Central Health Physiotherapy, Ask a Physio We come in and base ourselves in a communal area for an hour or a couple of hours, and people pop along on an ad hoc basis with their queries.
    or
  2. You set up a timetable of 10 or so minute slots so that employees can book ahead to avoid any waiting time.
    or
  3. We come along to your organised Health and Wellbeing Day to add an extra service for your employees.

These sessions are a “win-win”.  Your employees will be delighted with this opportunity, whilst we get to meet more of our neighbours.  This is why we don’t charge for them – they are free of charge.

It should be noted, however, that these should not be regarded as full physio consultations.  They are simply chats about the way forward, whether that’s to keep the painful area active and reassure that no further action needs to be taken, that the employee should try specific exercises or that they should get the injury properly looked at at a later date.
