The last six months presented some change for CHP who have been treating the folk of St John’s Wood (and much further afield sometimes) for the last 17 years. Having been based all this time at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, we have moved the whole of our outpatient service to The Platinum Medical Centre at The Wellington Hospital Our 20-strong outpatient team continues to offer specialist care in hypermobility, shoulders, lower limb rehab and spines. We also have specialists in paediatrics, respiratory, women’s health and neurology. Our clinic at the PMC is a wonderful space that is light and spacious with large treatment rooms and a well equipped gym. We offer the same five-star rated service with the same experienced staff but in a different location.We sadly say goodbye to some members of our inpatient team including the whole of the Hospice team. We wish all of you every success for the future and will always keep in touch.
We can now book appointments from each clinic for each clinic.

NEWSSt John’s Wood LocationIt is indeed an exciting time for us, and the big move to The Platinum Centre at the Wellington Hospital. As Natasha has said, we are thrilled with our smart new clinic rooms and facilities, and the exciting future ahead.However, that does not entirely compensate for the fact that we have had to say goodbye to our wonderful inpatient team, who we will miss enormously. Launch Party Thank you to John Reay and The Wellington Hospital very much for hosting the fantastic launch party for our new clinic in St John’s Wood on 25th May. It was well attended by our referrers, old and new. We have been made to feel so welcome and we really relish the prospect of a great future with The Wellington and HCA.
NEW SERVICESShockwave We have recently introduced Shockwave Therapy to our array of different services. It’s not how it sounds – it doesn’t involve electric shocks!! High energy soundwaves are applied to an injured tendon from above the skin surface.Shockwave treatment stimulates metabolism and blood circulation to damaged tissue to encourage regeneration and healing.
GDPRThe 25th of May was a watershed day in European history. The laws around how companies use people’s personal data are changing. This is something that Central Health Physiotherapy has always taken very seriously. Due to the nature of the data we hold about our clients, how we handle that data has always been an extremely important consideration. What the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulations has done is get us to review all of our processes, and the processes of our partners to ensure we are looking after peoples data as safely and securely as possible. The biggest change for us was the need to be open about the data we hold, why we hold it and how long we hold that data for. It’s not that we ever sought to hide this information, we just never thought to be so open about it. This has been a good change and for old, and new clients, starting to, or returning to use our services they can be safe in the knowledge that CHP will be GDPR compliant.

 Beyan our new personal trainer based at our Chelsea clinic.Beyan is a sports enthusiast with years of experience as a handball player. She is a qualified Indoor Cycling Instructor and a Youth Exercise Specialist. She has primarily worked with clients with health conditions, limited mobility and/or injuries, with clients of all ages, using a specifically designed programme to facilitate your return to function and sport.
We also Welcome Zephra Palmer to our admin team at Chelsea and physiotherapist, Diana Keeling who is based at our Chancery Lane clinic.
