CHANCERY LANE Clinic
Feedback from the patient satisfaction questionnaire:
"My physiotherapist is fantastic, helpful and encouraging. She is wonderful."
"I could get an appointment within a few days in the early/late category - a must for people who work."
"Caroline Fox is excellent. She knows her stuff and explains clearly and fully what is going on."
"Leah has been very helpful and professional in her approach."
"Gemma Newell was an amazing physio. She really helped me and made me understand why and where I needed to optimise my strength from different parts of my body to help with the weaker areas that were causing discomfort."
"I cannot rate Gemma Newell highly enough. I came into their Chancery Lane branch a couple of weeks ago suffering from a very painful adductor strain and was finding it very to walk. I wanted to run a half marathon and Gemma was unbelievably thorough, finding the cause of the underlying problem and gave me helpful exercises and on site treatment that got me through and I did finally the half marathon last weekend with no pain and a stronger core. A truly excellent physiotherapist."
"Hayley Dalton treated me. The level of care i received was fantastic, she is wonderful! I would not hesitate in highly recommending Hayley and your organization. Keep up the good work."
Jen:
The most expert, caring, reliable and helpful physiotherapy I have ever received. My long term back issues improved and are staying improved for the first time in almost two decades.
Stuart:
Experienced physiotherapists who really listen and look for the route cause not just the obvious issues. Without their help I would not have been able to achieve the cycling challenges I have undertaken since.↑
St Johns Wood Clinic
Claire Benton:
I have just finished 7 months of physiotherapy following key hole surgery on my shoulder (Arthroscopic Subacromial Decompression and Acromioclavicular Resection) in August 2010. Rehabilitation took a little longer than is usual - a frozen shoulder as a result of the surgery delayed progress. But having been through the above I am now 95% better and it is down to the skill of the surgeon and the quite exceptional care/bullying/harassement/support and encouragement of my phsyio, Jane Attard (though it involved some (barely legal?) torture). It is a rare combination (and grim determination) that gets one to submit to the unrelenting, painful nastiness that is the exercises required during rehabilitation. There is no way I could have done it without her.
Iain:
The best physios available in my view. Having suffered a really bad ankle fracture, it was with some trepidation that I first visited Faye at the central health at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. Faye has helped me learn to walk again and build strength in my leg and ankle and done so whilst being friendly and helpful, and giving me a push at exactly the right times to make sure I am on schedule to get better as soon as possible. I would recommend Faye and central health to anyone who wants a Physio who is going to get results and look after your questions and concerns at the same time.
Craig:
Truly the best physio in London! Laura over the last 12 months became a friend as well as a trusted physio and the girls at the front desk were always helpful, pleasant and friendly. The level of care I was given from massage, rehabilitation, acupuncture and pilaties was truly exceptional!↑
Notting Hill Clinic
"The physiotherapist took the time at the first session to explain why I was experiencing back pain. Understanding why made it a lot easier to understand. My back pain is now 90% better and I will keep going with my exercises. Thank you!"
"Have seen several physios for ongoing knee pain for over 2 years. After my first session the physio said I have torn some cartilage in my knee and recommended that I see a knee surgeon. I ended up having surgery to remove the torn cartilage and 6 weeks later I feel better than I have done in 2 years. I am still seeing the physio and doing well. Feel disappointed that nobody else picked up on it over the past two years."
"I was recommended to Elaine by my surgeon following shoulder surgery. From day 1 my goal was to return to cricket and having looked at my shoulder Elaine felt that this would be possible (with hard work and exercise!). I am now back playing cricket 3 times a week and no pain!"
"Great service - easy to get appointments and really convenient for my home."
"Very professional."
"I loved that the physios had such good communication with my consultant. They always wrote to him when I had a review to let him know how I was getting on. They flagged up concerns with him better than I could have explained on my own." ↑
Chelsea Clinic
Laurence:
Great Team. The staff is really friendly and professional. They always listen to you and look after you well. Thanks a lot! ↑
Roehampton Clinic
Annamarie:
Great Pilates class, thoroughly enjoy each session and I have been attending for nearly two years now. Expert advice given and a fun environment.
Kaz:
Finally a professional friendly physio who is actually fixing the injury I've had for over a year and which several previous physios were clueless about. Thank you so much, my running is nearly back to where it was 2 years ago!
Julia:
A very caring and professional service that has made sitting at my desk again possible! Excellent treatment, thank you very much!
Greg:
Excellent treatment - Physio really listened to my problem and within 4 weeks I was back running again.
Phil:
I was most impressed with the whole unit. It is well run and with good atmosphere. Those at the top most professional. Staff happy and willing. A nice experience. ↑
Barnet Clinic
Mr. Miller:
The physiotherapy standards in this clinic are very high and the treatment I have received showed outstanding focussed professionalism. The hydrotherapy
treatment in particular has been enormously beneficial thanks to the efforts of the therapists, and it must represent a great asset for the rehabilitation programme that Springdene offers. (I would add that it is streets ahead of that offered by a competitive clinic outside London that I have also experienced)
A patient:
The physio has been key to my recovery. Every member of the team is competent & with a good attitude. On every occasion I felt improvement after the session.
Katrin Stroh, age 81:
After a hip replacement which left me in a lot of pain, I went to Springdene Clinic for 10 days rehabilitation. As soon as I walked into the hydro pool, with the hot water up to my neck, I immediately lost the pain in my hip. I felt I had control of my body again and realised the invasive pain, creating both trauma and anxiety, would eventually disappear. My physiotherapist worked with me and I was able to walk in all directions, cutting through the water with both legs and begin to cycle. It was such a positive and life affirming change. I now attend once a week as an outpatient and six weeks after my operation I am walking without support, have a good balance and continue to be self reliant in my home. ↑
Pregnancy and PostNatal
Fabergé:
During my first pregnancy I experienced really severe left sided low back pain. Claire fairly instantly diagnosed me with a slipped right hand sacroiliac joint and went about in four fairly pain free sessions basically curing me. Claire's friendly bedside manner and truly magic hands allowed me to 100% get back on the right track and to start to enjoy my pregnancy again. I honestly can't thank her enough!↑
Continence and the Pelvic Floor
Lynette:
I was diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder - a condition I was most embarrassed about. When I spoke with Claire I knew she was an expert in her field which gave me immense confidence and comfort in her and the process. She was compassionate and understanding. It was such a relief!!
With the treatment I received I do not need surgery at present and she has now given me the ability to function without embarrassment.↑
Ante Natal Pilates Class
Alexy:
Claire, the class teacher, was excellent and tailored the exercises to suit the women attending. The class sizes were small, so that we received individual attention. I thought that Claire's specific expertise in women's health physiotherapy really shone through. Aside from the physical benefits, I also thoroughly enjoyed the sessions - it was one of the highlights of my week! I felt both relaxed and invigorated after each Ante-natal pilates session.↑
Post-natal pilates
Ruth, Maida Vale:
I would recommend this course to any woman who has had a baby. The instructor is fantastic and the exercises are extremely useful. Being able to bring my baby along is also great.↑
Life After Birth Class
Susan, St John's Wood:
A brilliant class that I would recommend to friends who are pregnant or not. Just great to understand my body, what changes occur with pregnancy and what I can do to make a difference and regain my 'six pack' post birth. The personal attention to me was great. Claire was a world of information. Very informative and certainly someone who knows her stuff. I'm keen for a personal appointment. Thanks.
Natalie, Belsize Park:
Wowee! Thank you Claire for such a fabulous, fun, information packed class! I learnt more about my pelvic floor in your two hour class than I have done from reading loads of pregnancy/birth and baby books. I look forward to signing up for your weekly postnatal pilates classes.
Jennifer, Maida Vale:
I found the course very informative and essential in getting a safe and structured plan to rehabilitate post baby, particularly as I had a C-section. I would not hesitate to recommend the course. A great way to get back to reclaiming my body and moving away from that 'newborn' bubble, feeling confident and knowledgeable to focus on me.
Tamara, St John's Wood
It was very helpful to see what our pelvic floor actually looks like and all the things it does. Now I really understand what those Kegels really do for me. This clear visualisation has given me the motivation to actually do them! Claire is patient and has great knowledge. Open and frank discussions on anything and everything. Highly recommend it!
Katie, Muswell Hill:
Good format - informal and very informative. Would be good before, in between or after childbirth, in addition to ante-natal classes. Good to be able to ask the questions you really want to know answers to but don't know who to ask, about the pelvic floor and the consequences of childbirth and pregnancy. Thank you!
Monica, Harrow on the Hill:
- Very helpful for pelvic floor exercises and the importance of them
- Informal and relaxed environment
- Could ask questions freely
- Can now better understand my body↑
Vestibular Physiotherapy
Garry Levin:
I had a recurrence of severe disabling vertigo and feared that, like last time , it would take a considerable time to go, if at all. I was recommended to see Leah by a doctor but was unsure whether this would help. Leah was fantastic - she immediately gave me confidence that my problem could be resolved. Within 30 minutes she had identified the issue and fixed it.
I would recommend Leah to anyone with a similar condition without hesitation.↑
Acupuncture
Zehra:
Acupuncture is an amazing treatment and has helped bring balance to my life on so many levels and would recommend it to anybody. Mischell is a fantastic Acupuncturist and very knowledgeable and experienced within her field. She has a very caring, supportive and considerate approach to her clients. She is a great listener, very patient and always makes you feel calm, safe and reassured during the treatment sessions.
S Thorley:
Mischell showed great skill in identifying locations which were sensitive and introduced an air of calmness and professionalism. The acupuncture sessions have worked. I am most grateful.↑
Hypermobility
Nikki:
Lucy has been a motivational tower of strength for me. She has completely changed my life and I know she will get me back to the life I had before
my injuries. I have complete trust in Lucys work and the dedication she has shown, to improving my quality of life. I feel very fortunate to have the privilege of receiving
the best treatment I could ever have wished for from a Physiotherapist. She is very professional and confident. She is friendly, caring and honest. I am
very lucky to have found her.↑
