Treatment for Incontinence
We advise and treat both women and men with urinary and faecal incontinence. Physiotherapy for women with incontinence should always be the first option and has been shown in a number of randomised controlled trials to be highly effective. In many instances this approach may make surgery unnecessary. Treatments include individualised pelvic floor muscle exercises and the use of biofeedback tools such as EMG and real-time ultrasound. In addition education regarding bladder drill, lifestyle and diet may be given.

Advice and Treatment for Organ Prolapse
Symptoms reported by women with a mild-moderate degree of organ prolapse can often be helped and surgery avoided through pelvic floor muscle exercises and lifestyle advice.
Help for Constipation
Exercise, dietary advice and positioning and technique for bowel opening are all helpful in the prevention and management of constipation and may help avoid complications, such as organ prolapse.
