Swati Bhagat

Childrens' Physiotherapy LondonSwati gained a BSc (HONS) in Physiotherapy from the University of Manchester in 2002. She has worked at New York University Hospital (Hospital for Joint Diseases) and large London hospitals including Guys and St Thomas' Hospital (Evelina Children's) and most recently Great Ormond Street Hospital. She specialises in treating paediatric patients, from babies to adolescents, with a variety of conditions. She has received specialised training with focus on gait analysis and orthotics, back education and training, the paediatric primer, and autogenic drainage.

Respiratory Conditions

Covers the issues which may arise due to existing pathology affecting the child's air way and lung fields

  • Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition which primarily causes the lungs to over produce thick sticky mucus. Physiotherapy (manual techniques, active cycle of breathing and/or autogenic drainage) alongside medication is required to prevent infections and help to keep the lung fields as clear as possible.
