Physiotherapists

All of the physiotherapists at Central Health Physiotherapy are members of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with The Health Professions Council. With approximately 40 staff, Central Health Physiotherapy has a substantial base of experience and encourages the exchange of knowledge and ideas. Physiotherapists are available to ensure service cover 52 weeks of the year.

The Occupational Therapists are all state registered and members of The Health Professions Council.

Gary Viljoen BSc, MSc

Central Health Physiotherapy since June 2008;
based at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth covering orthopaedic and medical wards

Joint replacement surgery, orthopaedic rehabilitation
Neurological rehabilitation and management of severe to profound disability

Other experience

Two years in the largest private hospital in South Africa
Invited, as part of an all South African team, to do 1000 elective cases within six months in Portsmouth
Worked in various fields within the NHS and private sector covering neurological rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, care of the elderly and management of severe and profound disabilities
