FAQs

What clothing should I wear for my appointment?

Depending on the source of your pain, it may be necessary to examine you in your underwear, so ensure that you wear something you are comfortable to be seen in.

For classes, loose fitting, comfortable exercise wear.
If in doubt, please telephone or email.

What happens during my first visit to see a physiotherapist?

As physiotherapists we aim to get to the root of the problem. To assess you fully we take a thorough history and then examine you; this usually takes about an hour. If the problem is sport related then we may need to see you in action as technique can be a contributing factor. If work related, then an assessment at your desk may be useful. Basically, we work out what is best for you and provide a full package of care from assessment to recovery, including exercises and after-care programme.

How long is my first visit?

Usually about an hour for a first visit to a physiotherapist.

How much does it cost?

Please telephone or email enquiries for our current price list.

Can I make an appointment directly or do I need to be referred?

You can refer yourself for physiotherapy but should you wish to claim this through your health insurance you will usually need a referral form your General Practitioner or specialist. We are approved by all health Insurance companies including PPP and BUPA.
