The Conservative Management of OA Knee Pain
| Lecturers | Rob Pollock MBBS BSc FRCS (Orth) |
Mr Pollock is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore (RNOH). He qualified at University College London, School of Medicine in 1993 before embarking on a career in surgery. His orthopaedic training took place in various London teaching hospitals including the RNOH. He undertook fellowships in Sydney, Australia and Denver, USA, where he gained experience in hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, trauma and the management of bone tumours. Mr Pollock has published several papers on joint reconstruction and regularly presents research at national and international meetings. He is an instructor on many of the postgraduate courses at the RNOH. Mr Pollock is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association. He is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register for orthopaedic surgery. In 2008 he was awarded the “ABC Fellowship” by the British Orthopaedic Association. He spent 6 weeks visiting the premier orthopaedic clinics in North America. The experience he gained in the USA has been of great benefit to him and his patients. |
