The Royal Hospital Chelsea

Our new clinic at The Royal Hospital Chelsea provides both traditional musculoskeletal physiotherapy outpatient rehabilitation and a new hydrotherapy service.

The recently opened hydrotherapy pool offers a specialised rehabilitation pool with both stair and automated hoist access. The pool is heated at 35°C, which creates the perfect therapeutic environment to promote muscle relaxation and facilitate a variety of graded buoyancy assisted and resisted work for strengthening.

Hydrotherapy is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness and can be particularly beneficial for those who may not be so physically able on dry land.

Once you're independent with exercises following a course of hydrotherapy with a physiotherapist, it may be beneficial to continue with self-directed hydrotherapy sessions. Your physio can help to construct an exercise plan and will be present to answer any questions you may have.

The outpatient facility has a private treatment area and the use of a fully equipped gym. We can provide a comprehensive service from manual therapy to late stage sports rehabilitation.

Laura Fidler, who manages the hydrotherapy service, has broad experience in musculoskeletal hydrotherapy, which includes management of sports injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation, amputees and the generally de-conditioned patient. 

Jane Attard, who manages the outpatient service, is currently completing her MSc in Advanced Manual Therapy. Jane is also trained in acupuncture and is an experienced Pilates instructor.

Faye Peck specialises in musculoskeletal disorders; both spinal and peripheral. She is also highly skilled in sports injuries treatment and post operative rehabilitation, acupuncture and manipulation.
