Optimum programme to alleviate back pain
The article in the Metro newspaper of 11th August: "Osteopathy, Acupuncture and Massage with Garry Trainer" caught my attention
Garry obviously has a wealth of knowledge in his field as an osteopath. After chatting over lunch with fellow Central Health physiotherapy colleagues we were surprised and somewhat disappointed that there was no mention about self help and a personalised exercise programme for patients to do between sessions.
All the physiotherapists across the six Central Health Physiotherapy sites aim to focus their treatment sessions on the individuals' needs and prescribe a personalised exercise programme to optimise their recovery and prevent recurrences. Our physiotherapists specialise in a wide range of techniques including manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue release, Pilates, functional rehabilitation, and educating patients about the nature of their condition.
Research suggests and from experience we feel this is the most beneficial combination in combatting back pain.
