InPatient REhabilitation
The Clinic provides intensive inpatient treatment including Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Hydrotherapy and Occupational Therapy - uniquely supervised by our consultant physician.
With 7 day a week treatment the ethos is simple - to get our patients home as quickly and as safely as possible, using a thorough and caring process that promotes mobility, strength, confidence and independence.
Nursing care is provided by a dedicated team of Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and health care assistants working round the clock, backed up by the 24 hour on-call support of the local GP practice.
All rooms have en-suite shower rooms, television, wireless internet, direct dial telephones and a nurse call system.
Patients are usually admitted directly from hospital following orthopaedic surgery such as total hip replacements, total knee replacements, spinal surgery, dynamic hip screws and pin and plated fractures to mention a few. We also accept patients who are medically de-conditioned and need help with recovery after illness. Admissions from the community are also accepted.
Our Occupational Therapist ensures a safe discharge home often conducting access visits, liaising with social services and intermediate care teams for ongoing care once home.
